Demonstrating impact – having a narrative

This course is designed for headteachers and senior school leaders who aim to craft a compelling Impact Narrative for their school. Through this programme, participants will deepen their understanding of the latest OFSTED changes, including the removal of deep dives for ungraded inspections, and explore strategies to strengthen the themes of ‘Know Your School’, ‘Knowing Your Children’, and ‘Meeting the Needs of Your Children’. The core thread throughout the course will be the ‘Impact’ of leadership decisions and educational strategies on students’ outcomes and school improvement.

The course will focus on the impact in relation to the four areas of the current Education Inspection Framework (EiF) and will include:

  • Understanding the latest OFSTED framework and changes
  • The implications of the removal of deep dives in ungraded inspections
  • Recent developments and expectations from OFSTED
  • Readiness for the proposed changes from autumn 2025
